What is Professional Car Detailing?
Professional car detailing goes further than a routine wash by concentrating on the condition, cleanliness and finish of the vehicle in much greater detail. Depending on the service selected, this can include exterior decontamination, machine polishing, paint correction, protective finishes and intensive interior cleaning.
At Cubitt Cars, our detailing work is carried out inside our dedicated Bingley detailing bay. The controlled environment and specialist lighting allow the paintwork to be properly inspected while the work is being carried out, particularly when machine polishing or paint correction is involved.

Professional Paint Correction & Machine Polishing
Machine polishing allows defects in the paint surface to be reduced or removed and restores clarity and gloss to tired paintwork. The level of correction required depends on the condition of the vehicle, which is why Cubitt Cars offers three levels: Enhance, Correct and Restore.

Our Professional Car Detailing Process
We consider the condition of the vehicle and the work requested. Where pricing needs to vary because of vehicle size or condition, this is discussed before the work begins.
Where paint correction is booked, the vehicle goes through the required exterior cleaning and decontamination process before machine polishing begins.
The booked work is carried out inside our dedicated detailing bay. For correction work, specialist lighting is used to inspect the paint surface and monitor the finish.
The vehicle is finished according to the package selected, including the appropriate exterior, trim, glass and protection stages listed within that package.
The finished vehicle is inspected before collection, with specialist lighting used as part of the correction-package inspection process.

Our detailing bay is inside the Cubitt Cars premises, providing a dedicated environment for exterior detailing, machine polishing, paint correction, ceramic coating and interior detailing.
The premises are close to Crossflatts station and the Aire Valley trunk road, with free parking on site. Cubitt Cars is also easily accessible from Leeds, Bradford and the Dales.

Car Detailing FAQs
What is the difference between car detailing and a normal car wash?
Car detailing goes into considerably more depth than routine washing. Depending on the package, detailing can include paint decontamination, machine polishing, correction, protective finishes and detailed interior cleaning rather than simply cleaning visible surfaces.
How much does car detailing cost at Cubitt Cars?
Our current Exterior Detail is £110. Paint-correction packages start with Enhance at £450, followed by Correct at £695 and Restore at £995. Light Interior Detailing is £95 and Full Interior Detailing is £195. All prices shown include VAT, with final pricing confirmed in line with the pricing conditions shown on this page.
Does paint correction remove scratches?
It depends on the severity and depth of the defect. Our different correction packages are intended for progressively more affected paintwork. Some heavy scratches can be improved where it is safe to polish them, while damage that has broken through the paint cannot simply be replaced by machine polishing.
Can I add ceramic coating to a paint correction package?
Yes. Ceramic coating can be added to the Enhance, Correct or Restore packages. The current ceramic upgrade is £300, with the resulting package totals shown above.
Where is Cubitt Cars detailing based?

What's the difference between Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 paint correction?
Stage 1 is a single-stage machine polish intended for lighter defects. Stage 2 adds separate compounding and polishing stages for more significant defects. Stage 3 is the most intensive option for heavily affected, aged or neglected paintwork. Full details of each package are shown above.
Does every paint correction start with decontamination?
Yes. Cubitt Cars' current paint-correction packages include exterior decontamination before machine polishing begins.
Do you offer interior car detailing?
Yes. Cubitt Cars offers a Light Interior Detail and a Full Interior Detail. The Full Interior Detail includes the additional deep-cleaning processes listed in the package above.

PRICING & DISCLAIMER
All prices shown include VAT. Prices are a guide based on a standard-sized vehicle in the condition described for each package. Final pricing is confirmed after inspection and before any work begins — we will never start work without your agreement.
Condition and size: Larger vehicles (SUVs, vans, long-wheelbase models) or vehicles in significantly worse condition than the package description typically incur additional charges. These will always be discussed and agreed in advance.
What paint correction cannot fix: Machine polishing removes paint — it does not add it. Deep scratches and stone chips that have broken through to primer or bare metal cannot be corrected by polishing alone; these may require touch-up, blending, or a body shop visit. We will advise you honestly on the expected result before work begins.
Ceramic coating durability: Ceramic coating longevity depends on vehicle use, exposure to harsh chemicals, and maintenance. Figures quoted (2–5 years) are indicative. We recommend a maintenance wash schedule and annual inspection to maximise protection life.
For heavy pet hair, mould, biological contamination, or vehicles that have been standing for extended periods — please call before booking so we can advise on realistic turnaround time and any additional charges. Any additional charges will always be discussed and agreed before work begins.
